Cancer Descending is a physically rigorous and psychologically confrontational experience that places a single participant in a structured horror/thriller narrative with two live performers. The experience follows a scripted story with clear dramatic structure and is designed with built-in flexibility to allow for participant agency. While the experience exists in a cinematic framework it remains personal and responsive.

 

The Participant is enlisted to take a security job tied to an ambiguous transaction at a nearby hotel. You will meet the enigmatic and charismatic figure named Lester who initiates the participant through the strangest first-day-on-the-job they've ever had. The situation deteriorates, identities blur and the participant must answer; “What do you wanna do before you die?”

 

Participants will need to pass a screening process, and answer a questionnaire. 

Participants will need to read, sign, and submit a waiver.

Participants will need to engage with several pre-show emails that contain key backstory and logistical details.
